Have you ever had a time in your life when you really felt God speak to you? A time when you felt Him so close and can hear Him speaking to you through His Word?

Well, this past Sunday morning was one of those times for me. Before I began my devotions I was praying and asking Him to lead me to a passage of scripture that would really wow me!! I was craving something like a “juicy steak” of scripture that I could really sink my teeth into and be able to feast on throughout the entire day and as I began flipping through my Women’s Devotional Bible God led me to the book of Isaiah!! Isaiah 40 to be exact!! It was though God came beside me as a close friend and with a sense of humor said something like this, “You want me to wow you, I’ll wow you”!! 🙂

And WOW me He did, but did I really expect anything different?? No, not really!! That’s why I asked Him!! 😉  As I began reading Isaiah 40 passages of scripture  literally began jumping off the page and wowing me in amazement of my Heavenly Father!! The passages were Isaiah 40: 12,15,18, 22, 25-26, and 28!! Here they are written in that exact order:

12. “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, or with the breadth of His hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?

15. Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.

18. To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare Him to?

22. He sits enthroned about the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

25. To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal? says the Holy One.

26. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens; Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because His great power and mighty strength , not one of them is missing.

28. The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.

Now granted I’ve read these passages a hundred times before but today it felt like God Himself was sitting next to me and sharing with me, this lowly grasshopper, 😉  just how Awesome He truly is!!  My heart was filled with such worship, praise, Wow, joy, laughter, honor, adoration, Wow , love, peace, well to be honest my heart could hardly contain it!! I was so filled with wonder of my Heavenly Father!!

I’m still feasting on those precious passages!! Wow!! What an awesome and amazing  God we serve!! I’m thankful that through His word He gently shows me how insignificant I am and how insignificant my momentary earthly problems are but reminds me just How Great He Is!!! Now that’s something to be Wowed about!! Praise His Holy Name!!
